not dead... just uninspired lately, can't force myself to draw.

Also I've been trying desperately to make the switch from Photoshop to painter 11. This has been incredibly difficult for me due to the sheer variability of brushes and techniques. Most of the time I begin to use painter 11 I am discouraged due to the almost overwhelming possibilities. I'll start drawing and be completely unhappy with how it is turning out and more less abandon it. Looking at tutorials for painter is almost just as maddening. If anyone could tell me what kind of brushes I should use for certain effects I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried multiple times to research this and experiment on my own through self teaching. But I know I'm not getting anywhere fast.

I'm not begging for someone to tell me how to use it.. I know everyone develops their own style.. Just point me in the right direction, cause I am completely lost.

(I also realize having no formal art school is hindering me greatly, and simply drawing from my mind is no longer cutting it.. I need to understand principles and theories behind color and art..)
